WHAT IS FIBROBLAST PLASMA SKIN TIGHTENING THERAPY?
Fibroblast Plasma Skin Tightening is a cosmetic treatment that uses plasma, an ionized gas, to non-surgically tighten skin. A relatively new innovation in the beauty industry in North America, Fibroblast Skin Tightening has been used for a number of years in Europe. This minimally invasive procedure is often described as “soft surgery” as the treatment delivers amazing results without the use of a scalpel, stitch, or bandage and it is highly effective at treating fine lines, crow’s feet, wrinkles, age spots, sun spots, and skin tags, as well as reducing excess lower eyelid skin.

HOW IS IT PERFORMED?
It’s done by using a plasma energy pen and through the sublimation process, turning gas in the air to a solid. As a result, it creates a series of small dots along the tension lines in the skin, which triggers an instant contracting and tightening of the skin that also promotes collagen build up in the area. Fibroblast is virtually painless and doesn’t require anesthesia. Numbing cream is used to minimize discomfort during the procedure.
The extremely accurate device works by utilizing the voltage in the air between its metal tip and the skin (targeting only the epidermis layer). An electrical arc is created and instantly shrinks the targeted skin. The tissue retraction and tightening gives results that are comparable to invasive surgery by physically reducing the volume of skin in the surrounding area. The skin around the spot tightens instantly, pulling the cells closer together.

WHAT CAN I EXPECT FROM A TREATMENT?
Usually, Fibroblast treatments last approximately one hour. The treatment is virtually painless, requires no anesthesia, and there are no cuts or blood. While the treatment device itself never touches the skin, the plasma flash creates a tiny dot (carbon crusts) upon contact. These superficial dots, which form in a symmetrical grid over the treatment area, are part of the normal healing process, and will fall off 5-7 days post-treatment. Patients can return to their normal activities right away with minimal discomfort.
